Position: Helper
Department: Operations
Reporting to: Manager, Operations

JOB OVERVIEW

Working under the general supervision of a Crew Chief, the Helper is responsible for assisting in the professional, efficient, and clean installation of system furniture and case goods as per manufacturers’ specifications. As part of the installation team, Helpers represent ABI to the company’s clientele and, as such, have a responsibility to act in an appropriate manner and to always be respectful of client personnel.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist in the delivery, assembly, and installation of furniture and related products in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Support the installation crew with site preparation, organization, and clean-up, including the safe removal and disposal of packaging materials and job site debris.
• Assist warehouse personnel with loading and unloading furniture, staging materials for delivery, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Perform facility maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned to support overall operational readiness.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, site protocols, and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, coworkers, and clients.
• Demonstrate reliability by arriving on-time, working cooperatively with team members, and remaining on-site until tasks are completed or directed otherwise.
• Exhibit professionalism, respect, and a positive attitude in all interactions with team members, customers, and site personnel.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned to support successful project completion and operational needs.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS – ASSETS

• Secondary school diploma
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to lift and carry heavy/awkward materials – up to 50 lbs. – without assistance
• Good verbal communication skills
• Teamwork and cooperation skills
• Bilingualism
